On September 28th, an inspiring session titled “Dream Big: Unlocking Opportunities for Studying Abroad,” organized in collaboration with the UFAZ Alumni Network and the Azerbaijani Students and Alumni Platform (ASAP) was hosted at UFAZ. The event aimed at empowering students with the tools and knowledge needed to pursue higher education abroad.

The session featured a keynote lecture by UFAZ Chemical Engineering alumna, Laman Jalil, who drew on her own experiences to offer students valuable insights into the application process for international studies. Throughout her lecture, she provided practical and actionable advice on a variety of critical topics, including how to craft an impactful CV that stands out to admissions committees, strategies for writing compelling motivation letters that showcase personal and academic strengths, and an overview of the wide range of scholarship opportunities available to students seeking financial support.

Additionally, Laman emphasized the importance of securing strong recommendation letters, offering tips on how to approach potential referees and ensure their endorsements reflect the student’s achievements and potential. She also touched on other essential aspects of preparing for international study, such as researching universities, navigating the application process, and preparing for interviews.
