"Competition on Innovative Ideas in Sustainable Energy Solutions" Project Concluded

Worley's "Competition on Innovative Ideas in Sustainable Energy Solutions," focusing on enhancing campus sustainability through renewable energy and electrifying offshore platforms in Azerbaijan, has been finalized. The competition, which was organized for UFAZ students, concluded with an award ceremony held at the Worley office.

The team "Energy Pioneers," consisting of UFAZ students Rufat Samadzade, Amin Abdullayev and Javidan Nasirli, secured first place with their project, "Air Turbine in Flare Stack." The team "Zephyrus," made up of Anar Nuruzada, Togrul Rzayev, and Sanan Guluzada, won second place with their project, "Integration of Floating Wind Turbines with Offshore Oil Platforms." The teams "Vesuvius," comprising Maryam Babayeva and Kanan Muzaffarov with their project, "Rethinking Solar Energy," and "Slay," consisting of Rana Aliyeva, Pavel Kuznetsov, and Suad Afandiyeva with their project, "Hybrid Energy Converters," shared third place.

As agreed beforehand, the first-place winners have been awarded a one-month paid internship starting in mid-July 2024. The second and third-place winners received gift vouchers and the option of a one-week unpaid internship. Additionally, all 16 teams received Certificates of Participation.
