The closing ceremony of the "Soft Skills in Engineering" project has been held

Organized by the UFAZ Career Center, the closing ceremony of the "Soft Skills in Engineering" project took place. During the event, Latifa Nasibova, the acting executive director of UFAZ, emphasized the importance of the UFAZ Career Center's efforts in the professional development of students and highly praised the project. Vazeh Askerov, the acting rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, highlighted the critical necessity of soft skills in the modern world. Jean-Marc Planeix, the Vice President of the University of Strasbourg and coordinator of UFAZ, also valued the initiative aimed at imparting soft skills such as teamwork and problem-solving in business communications as a very successful endeavor.

Subsequently, presentations were given by Jalal Orujov, a member of the Executive Board and Chief Operations Officer of PASHA Bank, Samira Shabanova, Head of the Human Resources Department at EY Azerbaijan, and Emil Huseynov, founder and director of the HR Institute.

At the end of the event, 33 participants who successfully completed the training, as well as the trainers, were awarded certificates and a commemorative photo was taken.

It should be noted that the "Soft Skills in Engineering" project, which offers free trainings, aims to enhance the professionalism of future engineers. The project is designed for the third and fourth-year students studying in the engineering field. The goal is to prepare them for professional life, internship programs, and interviews. The 4-week training, conducted in English, received a total of 136 applications from various universities, from which 40 of the best students were selected to participate. Throughout the program, 9 trainers conducted seminars on "Business Fundamentals," "Soft Skills," and "Financial Literacy."
