The Pi Festival Took Place at UFAZ!

The event, consisting of three parts: PIdea, PIGMA, and Networking sessions, began with a presentation and an introduction to the rules.
In the first part of the festival, PIdea – A Math Innovation Challenge, students presented their ideas. The ideas primarily focused on topics like Pure Mathematics & Theoretical Research, Applied Mathematics & Engineering, Mathematics in Science & Daily Life, and Innovative Explorations. Ten teams, each consisting of four members, presented their approaches on the applications of mathematics in technology, science, and the real world. The teams were evaluated by a panel of judges. After the presentations, a Q&A session took place. UFAZ's Slay team won the first place, UFAZ's Epsilon team came in the second place, and BHOS's Prime Pioneers team came in third place.
PIGMA – the Quiz Competition, was held for those eager to test their knowledge in parallel. The competition allowed participants to apply their knowledge, logic, and problem-solving skills. Team The Fossils, which scored the highest total points across all stages, was declared the winner. Team Pumpkin Pi and team Yello.py were awarded 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
The festival continued with the Networking session, providing participants an opportunity of information exchange.
