‘Times New Roman’ Team Won the EU’s ‘Green Future’ Competition!

On January 31, 2025, the fourth European Youth Competition was held in Baku. The ‘Green Future’ contest, part of the EU-funded ‘For Our Planet’ campaign, aimed to promote innovative approaches in renewable energy and environmental solutions.

The competition brought together high school students and university participants from various regions of Azerbaijan. Talented youth were given the opportunity to work on innovative business solutions, develop a business-oriented mindset, and engage in team collaboration.

In the final phase of the competition, which featured 128 teams with a total of 512 participants, four teams competed for the top positions. As a result, the ‘Times New Roman’ team claimed first place, while ‘Green Innovators’ secured second, ‘Sustainable Synergy’ took third, and the ‘Voyage’ team finished in fourth. The ‘Times New Roman’ team, consisting of Samir Jumshudzade, Emin Khalifayev, Seyyara Hasanova and Turan Ahmadov, earned their leadership position by working on the business strategy of A.P. Moller – Maersk.

At the closing ceremony, Peter Michalko, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan, presented certificates and various prizes to the finalists.
