UFAZ Alumnus Baylar Zarbaliyev Awarded Best Oral Presentation at 40th Annual GFZ Congress

We are delighted to announce that Baylar Zarbaliyev, a co-tutelle PhD candidate of Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University (ASOIU) and University of Strasbourg (UNISTRA), and a proud UFAZ alumnus, has been awarded the Best Oral Presentation Prize at the prestigious 40th Annual Congress of the French Zeolite Association – Groupe Français des Zéolithes (GFZ).
The congress, held recently in France, gathered a vibrant international community of researchers working in the fields of porous materials, zeolites, and advanced material science. It served as an important platform for exchanging scientific knowledge, presenting breakthrough research, and exploring technological innovations in this vital scientific domain.
Baylar Zarbaliyev’s award-winning presentation, based on a segment of his PhD research, was recognized by the conference jury for its scientific rigor, clarity of delivery, and innovative methodology. Competing among top-tier doctoral researchers from across Europe and beyond, Baylar’s outstanding contribution earned him the Best Oral Presentation Prize, which was sponsored by TotalEnergies.
His doctoral work is supervised by a distinguished team of researchers: Prof. Benoît Louis, Dr. Narmina Guliyeva, and Dr. Gaëtan Lutzweiler. The research reflects a successful collaboration between French and Azerbaijani scientific institutions.
UFAZ warmly congratulates Baylar on this remarkable achievement and wishes him continued success in his academic journey and future scientific endeavors.
