The results of the joint research conducted by Professor Dunya Babanlı, PhD student Aytekin Aghayeva, and UFAZ graduate Riad Mirzayev have been published in the journal of the global academic publisher Springer Nature.

The article titled "Thermodynamic Study of Copper Antimonides by the EMF Method with the Cu4RbCl3I2 Solid Electrolyte" is dedicated to determining the fundamental thermodynamic functions of binary copper antimonides using a low-temperature e.m.f. method with a solid electrolyte. These materials are considered environmentally friendly functional materials that offer sustainable solutions in various fields due to their minimal environmental impact, as well as, unique physicochemical and applied properties.

The aim of the contribution was to determine the fundamental thermodynamic functions of binary copper antimonides – Cu4Sb and Cu2Sb that are stable at low temperatures. The studies were conducted using the solid electrolyte RbCu4Cl3I2, which exhibits Cu+ ion conductivity, over a temperature range of 300-480 K. The fundamental thermodynamic quantities obtained in the work enable the analysis of the stability of copper antimonides, their behavior in chemical and industrial processes under various conditions, and the selection of optimal compositions during the preparation of these phases.

The results are highly accurate and address existing contradictions in the literature regarding the thermodynamic properties of copper antimonides, making a significant contribution to scientific progress in this field. These quantities can be incorporated into modern electronic information databases and handbooks and successfully applied in thermodynamic calculations in relevant systems.
