UFAZ Students Secured First Place at Google AI Hackathon Sponsored by Bakcell

A team of students from UFAZ, named "Codage," has achieved first place at the prestigious Google AI Hackathon sponsored by Bakcell. The team, consisting of Elgun Hasanov, Fatulla Bashirov, Ismayil Huseynov, and Turan Ahmadov, earned a prize of 3000 AZN for their outstanding performance.

The challenge they tackled was fraud detection in the financial sector. Utilizing deep learning techniques and advanced data augmentation strategies, the team developed a robust model that accurately classifies fraudulent transactions. In addition, they customized a Large Language Model (LLM) to function as an anti-fraud assistant, enhancing user support and providing real-time intelligence.

Their innovative approach not only addressed the challenge effectively but also demonstrated the potential of combining deep learning with advanced language models to solve complex real-world problems. This victory highlights the exceptional talent and skills of UFAZ students in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
