UFAZ Career Center is Organizing a Training Session Titled ‘Skills for the Next Generation’

The ‘Skills for the Next Generation’ program is set to launch on April 15th, offering 3rd and 4th-year engineering and technical sciences students a unique opportunity to enhance their career prospects. This program will focus on sustainability and the future of energy, equipping students with both technical expertise and industry-relevant soft skills.

A select group of 40 students from various institutions will soon embark on a four-week journey to enhance their professional skills in sustainability and leadership. The Skills for the Next Generation program, conducted in English, will feature a dynamic mix of lectures, presentations, and workshops, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning experience.

Running every Tuesday and Friday, the program totals 20 hours of instruction, with full attendance required to earn an official certification. This prestigious certificate will be jointly signed by executives from partner organizations and the university rector, solidifying its credibility in the industry.

Four-week course aims to:

Strengthen problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills;
Prepare students to tackle sustainability challenges in the energy sector;
Foster adaptability and strategic thinking in an evolving industry;
Provide networking opportunities with leading industry professionals and consultants.

With industry leaders at the helm, this program promises to provide students with the critical skills they need to secure internships and career opportunities in a rapidly evolving job market.

Sessions will be lead by industry experts:

Sustainability & ESG (Sustainera)

· Participants will gain insights into the foundations of sustainability and ESG principles, ensuring they are prepared to address future environmental challenges.

The Future of Energy (Total Energies)

· Renewable Energy Innovations – Exploring advancements in solar, wind, hydrogen, and other clean energy sources.

· Circular Economy in Energy – Strategies for waste reduction, recycling, and sustainable resource management.

Soft Skills Training (Azerbaijan HR Institute)

· Effective Communication in Multidisciplinary Teams – Strengthening collaboration and cultural awareness in multinational energy projects.

· Leadership Development for Engineers – Enhancing decision-making, strategic thinking, and team management skills.

· Workplace Conflict Resolution – Navigating professional challenges to maintain productivity and team harmony.
